Responsibility is mainly to be maintain the status of the lab with maintenance, modifications and updates to lab equipment, boards and infrastructure, including electrical testing and characterization of devices. Must be able to solder and perform circuit and board rework on surface mount components. To implement Engineer Change Orders. Responsible for system assembly, bring up, and debug. PC Compliant and able to install and configure hardware and software in systems. Perform routine data collection and system maintenance. Experienced with hard drive imaging and configuring. Knowledgeable with standard operating systems Windows, Iinux, and Moblin. General PC assembly knowledge; ability to assemble system from stock components is also required. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions is a must.
Required Skills and experience:
Education: Technical diploma and/or Associate degree required
o Soldering and printed circuit board modification skills
o Experience with lab measurement instruments such as Digital multi-meters, signal generator, oscilloscopes etc.
o Relevant experience in data measurements/debug of Analog/IO blocks
o Familiarity with software, Python script execution
o Maintain stable host system performance, ie maintain Bench DV & other SW updates
o Identify and resolve HW setup issues and resolve them.
o Work with Design and Test Engineers to ensure quality test environments
o Good Communication skills
o Ability to methodically and logically work through problems and debugging
o Organizational skills to support lab structure and day to day maintenance routines as needed
o Must be able to read schematics and board Iayout drawings as well.
o Need to be self motivating and driven.
PLUS SKILLS
Skilled with the use of Oscilloscopes and Iogic Analyzers; must be able to connect both to systems and be able to do basic configurations of both.
Knowledge of Allegro and schematic software is a plus. USB and Firmware a plus
