MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT HARD METALS ENVIRONMENT
Starting salary range: $80-85,000, Benefits and Relocation Support
Preference for Kentucky or surrounding state applicants.
Primary Job Responsibilities
• Coordinates and oversees the execution of daily work by maintenance personnel in a hard metals environment.
• Scopes and assigns resources to work orders in accordance with the daily schedule and priority.
• Responsible for the safety of their employees, environmental compliance and supports / leads the safe execution of the work.
• Plans work to incorporate necessary safe work practices.
• Monitors all aspects of the work to ensure compliance with the plant and OSHA regulations.
• Facilitates development of job specific Safe Plans.
• Conducts safety audits and documents observations in compliance with Corporate Safety Policy.
• Directs employees engaged in their specific work activity and resolves any resource conflicts that are impeding the work’s progress, e.g., equipment, tools, support craft, etc.
• Write requisitions for parts/materials and obtain materials from plant stock room or vendors.
• Coordinates activity with the client’s maintenance & Project Engineers, Safety, Environmental and Operations.
• BS preferred. Technical Certificate and experience required.
Training and Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in the Die Cast, Forging or Foundry environments.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing personnel.
• Competence with Microsoft Office Products
• Knowledge and experience with CMMS
• Turnaround experience a plus.
• Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment.
• Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills.
• Work effectively with peers in a multi-disciplinary environment.
