Cosmetology Instructor (adjunct) at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in Salisbury, NC

The Cosmetology Instructor is a part-time faculty member who is responsible for conducting assigned day and /or evening classes of instruction. The Cosmetology Instructor participates in maintaining the curriculum in a comprehensive, current, and employer-responsive manner. The responsibilities of the instructor in Cosmetology include: conducting assigned classes of instruction; maintaining program equipment, safely, and securely; making recommendations concerning curriculum development and courses. The instructor also will be responsible for other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Part-Time Cosmetology Instructor is a faculty member who is responsible for conducting assigned day and/or evening classes of instruction. The instructor participates in maintaining the curriculum in a comprehensive, current, and employer-responsive manner.
Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

- A.A.S. Degree or B.S. degree.
- Current NC Cosmetology License
- Current NC Cosmetology Instructor License

Desired Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

At least two years teaching experience in a Community College setting. Knowledge and experience teaching the Pivot Point curriculum. Experience with Blackboard, Webadvisor and other computer applications used in the beauty industry.
