Description
• Manage the design, development or selection of devices and drug delivery systems for implementation with applicable biologics.
• Work with appropriate technical resources to develop device/system concepts and identify customer requirements for new designs.
• Identify project resource requirements, establish team roles and responsibilities, and provide clear direction on product development requirements to meet expectations of external customers and business stakeholders.
• Drive implementation of programs by establishing strategies, schedules and budgets.
• Identify project risk areas and make recommendations regarding appropriate risk mitigations.
• Monitor and report project status. Interact through program updates and reviews with all levels of management.
• Familiar with project management tools and processes. Utilizes Project Management Methodology, compliant with procedures and processes.
• Travel: 5-10%
Qualifications
• Plan projects using appropriate tools (typically, MS Project)
• Has good interpersonal skills and is able to operate effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated leadership in a matrix organization.
• Excellent communications skills. Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members, and gain consensus.
• Display an understanding of engineering principals and propose solutions that reflect an understanding of business objectives and cost implications.
• Aware of common tools for design (CAD Solidworks) and analysis (Finite Element Analysis, Mold Flow, Design of Experiments).
• Willing to adapt working hours to global team requirements.
• Typical computer skills: Word processing/typing, Spreadsheets, Project planning.
• Has the following personal attributes: integrity, sound work ethic, sound judgment, intellectual honesty, pragmatism. Has respect for individuals and the diverse contributions of all.
