The Sensors Test Analysis Requirements Simulation (STARS) team is seeking a Radar (UEWR) Analyst who will enhance support of the Missile Defense Agency’s sensor systems.
• Requires a details oriented individual who will perform a variety of tasks including operating each instance of the radar and analyzing performance data from flight and ground tests.
• Must have UEWR radar systems experience.
• Absent UEWR peculiar experience, experience with other MDA radars such as Cobra Dane, SBX or AN/TPY-2 would be acceptable.
• Additionally, the ideal candidate would have a good understanding of systems engineering processes, missile defense architectures and Air and Missile Defense radar applications.
• Candidate should be capable of be executing documented test and analysis procedures on a demanding schedule.
• A self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
• Includes collaboration within a team environment while emphasizing individual contributions to produce products that are valuable to the customer.
• Candidate must have good people skills, excellent communicator and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers.
Required Qualifications:
1. First-hand knowledge of one of the four missile defense radar systems specified above
2. How they operate and have experience with radar data manipulation and analysis of radar data.
3. Experience in radar operations, analysis, and concepts of operations combined with the ability to follow procedures and troubleshoot issues.
4. Must be able to interact effectively with individuals of different experience levels.
5. Background including government and external industry personnel.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
1. Familiarity with UNIX and Linux operating systems.
2. Be proficient in Matlab or similar analysis tools.
3. Experience with Unix/Linux is a plus as well.
4. Experience in radar configuration is desired along with experience in radar analysis using Matlab.
Education Requirement:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics or at least 3 years of applicable experience
