Position Expectations:

In this role, your responsibilities will include electrical field inspections during construction, conceptual design development, layout and selection of equipment, and development and redline of contract drawings using 2D and 3D design approaches. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for building things, meeting new people, and desire to learn from seasoned professionals who perform industrial and municipal electrical, and other water/wastewater work. Primary responsibilities include:
Perform electrical and instrumentation and controls (E&I/C) construction inspection duties of water supply, wastewater collection and treatment facilities including municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, storage facilities, and pump stations for municipal and federal clients initially in the Honolulu, Hawaii area.
Perform E/I&C construction phase reviews which may include daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, standards and codes
Coordinate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers and regulatory agencies
Review and track contractor's schedule
Document work not performed in accordance with the plans/specifications and advise the Contractor’s Superintendent and note in daily report
Review and provide input on potential E/I&C change order issues
Maintain E&I/C project records at the job site
Producing effective and accurate written documents, reports, and technical memorandums
Collaborate with a national team of technical experts in the Electrical and I&C group
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED along with a minimum of 10 years of prior experience with a background that includes electrical construction inspection
BS in Electrical Engineering desired with a Journeyman’s electrician license a plus
Solid knowledge in the application of the National Electrical Code
Inspection certifications preferred - ICC, APWA, NICCET, CRSI, ACI, AWS a plus
Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and written
Effective oral and written communication
Candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented and be able to work under tight and pressured deadlines
