SUMMARY:
The IT Systems Engineer II will operate and manage Windows Servers and their related components to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. The Windows Senior Engineer also participates in the implementation of policies and procedures and to ensure consistency with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer Windows Server 2008 2012 R2
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
Manage the ongoing patch schedule inclusive of coordination with application development and quality assurance teams and communicate and schedule patch management events
Ensure that any previous documentation is updated with new changes and provide documentation for all new processes and procedures that can assist other team members in maintaining servers
Troubleshooting includes, but is not limited to; isolating problems, recommending proper solutions and implementing solutions
Maintain and support cloud hypervisor platforms
Service monitoring, alerting, reporting and continuous improvement of the service quality and availability
Access Infinite Campus product customer data and customer infrastructure adhering to the practices and procedures outlined in the master security guidelines
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years of hands-on work experience in Information Technology as a Windows System Administrator
Expert knowledge of the Windows Server Operating System(s), primarily 2008 2012 R2
