DIRECTOR OF CORE SYSTEMS (IDX)
LOCATION: ORANGE, CA
DESCRIPTION:
Our client has an excellent opportunity available for a Director of Core Systems ( IDX ). This is a full time opportunity in the healthcare industry. This position is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all functions related to the company’s IDX System. This includes overseeing internally and externally developed applications, enhancement and upgrades as well as updating all dictionaries, fee schedules, vendor contracts, capitation agreements, and benefit configurations in the system. The Director of Core Systems will also be the lead to assess future business goals and objectives.
Hires, manages, leads, directs, motivates, and trains Core System professionals
Facilitate and manage the resolution of problems being escalated
Collaborates with Product Owners to ensures solutions are delivered as agreed upon
Maintains excellent communication with upper management and stakeholders within IT and across the organization
Advise VP of IT on resources and support needed for success of projects and operational support
Provide direction, managerial oversight or direct support of Member Benefits, Provider Contracts, and Core System Configurations with the Core System
Ensure SDLC adherence
Implement improvements in Core Systems operation and development tactics such as implementation of defined projects / requirement, Conditions of Acceptance, QA best practices, UAT and Stakeholder accountability
Implement Agile and Scrum development processes across all project members, customers and stakeholders
Will be key in assessing and providing direction / guidance in identifying new business needs for new / improved technology, RFP’s, evaluation selection, prioritization, execution and implementation of new technologies
Oversee and schedule ad hoc system maintenance and security changes according to company policy
Create new and support new and existing reports, manage help desk tickets
Vendor selection
Provide positive feedback to employees inside and outside the department
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 5-8 years of management experience
Managed Care Applications ( MCA ) or Healthcare Core System ( IDX, FACETS, Erisco, NextGen, EPIC, etc.)
Excellent written and oral communication skills for interfacing with internal and external clients
Strong Project Management
Experience in an Managed Care / IPA or other Healthcare environment highly desired
Must have knowledge of HIPAA compliance issues
Previous experience with system migrations
Thorough understanding of Medical Insurance Benefits, Provider Contracts, IDC-9, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
Medical Terminology
Ability to read and interpret DOFRS, contracts and/or contract summaries
Knowledge of conditional logic programming a huge plus
Proficient in MS Office, Access, Adobe, and MS Outlook
