• Maintain student records and paperwork including intake applications, phone contacts, report cards, testing scores, attendance and contact logs, individualized education plans, interventions with outside agencies, trip logs and permission slips, invoices, surveys, medical emergencies, and other information pertinent to student participation in the program.
• Partners with the Century 21st ASD representative for consistency in program and for data requests.
• Responsible for preparing reports for grantors (century 21, UW, etc.) and works with the external evaluator to prepare quarterly and year-end reports.
• Community and School District liason. Builds partnerships that enhance our education program.
• Demonstrate effective classroom management in the classroom and outings, e.g. quiet during homework, reminds students regarding their behavior, enforces class rules in a manner that is consistent visual supervision of students at all times.
• Assures that necessary materials and resources are prepared before each lesson.
• Creates lesson plans and activities, schedules bus, trips, crafts and or workshops for students, under the supervision of the Education Coordinator.
• Serves as a liaison between home and school by attending open houses, orientations, meetings, parent and teacher conferences, and serving as translator or interpreter with school and/or teachers as necessary. Supplies school with information regarding program, and retrieves necessary information on student for program, eg. Report cards, SAT scores.
• Works to create a targeted set of objectives for each student based on client assessments, report card data, and parent and teacher input and monitors student progress toward those objectives
• Manage snack and dinners by ensuring that meals are ready at the proper time.
• Maintain eating areas by ensuring that children dispose of garbage and the room is clean at all times.
• Inform volunteers which students need help in homework.
• Assure that speakers have necessary materials.
• Aid in recruitment and marketing of program.
• All other duties as assigned
