• Spanish proficiency required
Minimum 2 year degree preferred
Coordinate with nutritionist to assure standardized recipes are being used for food preparation.
•Maintain daily records of attendance, meal reservations, bus reservations, meals served and activities.
•Coordinates activities for group of about 50 active people ages 60 and above.
•Prepares monthly reports for Area Agency on Aging, other funders, and Casa.
•Responsible for preparing and maintaining a weekly menu, calendar and activity calendar.
•Maintain meals served logs and analyze inventory control logs to detect and eliminate food theft by staff, clients, and volunteers
•Ensure that the cook prepares the meals on schedule, in the amounts specified, as indicated in menu prepared by Area Agency on Aging.
•Responsible for ensuring that food products are purchased and handled according to standards for freezing, refrigerating, and other storage requirements.
•Responsible for the Senior Center work, organization and direct reporting employees.
•Create and regularly update client files
•Assist clients in understanding doctor appointments, calls for transportation, medications refill, and sight translation
•Complete required forms and oversee shopping for the Second Harvest Food Bank
•Ensure Food Quality
•Ensure that kitchen, storage areas, and dining room are cleaned according to Health Bureau and ServeSafe Standards
•Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Experience in working with active Adult population. Bi-cultural/Bi-lingual Spanish required.
