Summary Of Position:
The Assoc. Manufacturing Engineer - Pilot provides direct line support of products in
Launch and Pilot phases of New Product Development (NPD) by troubleshooting
equipment and tooling issues. This engineer is also responsible for performing
engineering evaluations (EER), engineering testing protocols, Root Cause
investigations & evaluations.
The Associate ME will prioritize daily production activities, including protocol builds &
engineering trials with Manufacturing Supervisor.
Essential Functions:
Performs engineering evaluations protocols & tests for R&D and AME teams.
• Analyzes & Summarizes testing protocol results as required by R&D and AME
teams.
Creates & executes Production line validation/qualification activities, including IQ,
OQ, PQ & MSA.
Creates Process Flow diagrams and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) sheets for AME
team as required.
Utilizes Lean Manufacturing tools & Implements solutions to stabilize production
lines and reduce the time to transfer to Plant.
Provides Manufacturing subject matter expertise for the following R&D and AME led
activities: DFM / DFA, DFMEA, PFMEA, and CTQ processes / activities.
Department Specific/Non-Essential Functions:
Some travel possible to manufacturing sites and suppliers
