Develops the ALS Information Technology enterprise infrastructure architecture in alignment with all ALS business requirements and initiatives
Manage the design and physical and logical architecture for multiple class-A SAS70 data centers environments
Monitors the performance and capacity of ALS systems and networks to ensure scalability, capacity and continuous availability of all critical systems and applications. Pinpoints potential bottlenecks and recommends cost-effective solution to mitigate risk.
Manage and monitor all external vendor service level agreements to ensure adherence to contractual obligations
Confers with internal team members to determine information needs, to establish project priority, and to assist with resolution of networking and application problems.
Develops policies and procedures related to the implementation, connectivity, and utilization of the internal network and systems including access to outside resources such as the Internet
Troubleshoots network problems or systems failures involving hardware and software and follows the proper incident and problem management practices to resolve in a timely manner
Establishes and maintains systems and application backup and restore policies and periodic restoration testing to ensure application data integrity
Establishes and maintains concise network documentation, develops and communicates standards and usage policies for the ALS user community.
Gathers business requirements and develops sound and cost-effective solutions for the purchase of hardware or software used in the systems network development process.
Specify, recommends, installs, configure and maintain all internal wide and local area network hardware, software, and IT services such as desktop and laptop computers, desktop and server operating system software, enterprise security protection software, software applications, directory services, printers, servers, data and voice cabling, storage systems, audio, web and video conferencing, Internet services and other related Information Technology services.
Implement policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security and backups.
Develop and maintain corporate business continuity plans (BCP/DR) and supporting technologies
Maintain network users, user environment, directories, and security.
Where applicable, train users on hardware and software usage.
Respond to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs
Consult with the the VP, Information Technology and Cloud Operations to develop cost-effective system solutions consistent with organizational objectives.
Research, evaluate and recommend new technologies as needed; install and test software upgrades as needed; perform daily backup routines and maintain software currenrcy on all network and infrastructure systems.
Maintain awareness of changing trends and regulations, which might effect the organization and it’s clients and act on as required.

Assists in the development of annual Information Systems expense and capital budgets
Looks for opportunities to reduce overall expense cost for all IS services
Manage the renewal of all hardware and software support agreements
Performs other related duties as required.
