DESCRIPTION:
•Design early intervention activities and coordinate services for children between birth and three years of age.
•Create learning opportunities to increase and sustain positive outcomes for developmentally delayed children in the birth to three program.
•Deliver early education assessments, ongoing evaluations and services, M-F for up to 37.5 hours per week.
•Educate families regarding the specific findings of the assessments performed on clients between birth to three years of age.
•Meet with families and other providers to develop and implement an integrated plan (IFSP) to meet the child and family needs.
•Write formal case notes and reports and required.
•Coach families to achieve outcomes as documented on the IFSP.
•Provide consultation in ECE to support families and caregivers in monitoring and encouraging their child's development.
•Provide staff training on effective teaming and on approaches to promote child development within family routines, child care settings, and other community opportunities.
•Contribute client specific dialogue to the COSF (Child Outcomes Summary Form) such that information will be obtained that can be used in determining progress for each child served.
•Provide staff and/or provider education and consultation services as needed.
•Evaluate results of consultative activities within a team based approach.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Collegiate professional or possess a certificate in early childhood special education endorsement.
•Masters in Early Childhood Special Education, coursework with focus on infants/toddlers/families is preferred.
•One year of experience in early childhood intervention for the ages of birth to three is preferred.
•One year of supervised experience with families with infants and toddlers with disabilities.
•Ability to use computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as specialized client information system.
