Outstanding opportunity for a Business Unit Leader in the San Francisco, CA area. This position requires a food processing background and is a direct hire for a successful and innovative food manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
• Providing leadership and guidance to Production Supervisors;
• Ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures and philosophies;
• Reviewing daily production schedule and shipping needs to ensure sufficient manpower;
• Assisting in problem solving, budgeting and costs to meet plant objectives;
• Training and motivating supervisors and personnel;
• Working with supervisors to resolve employee concerns and complaints;
• Encouraging ideas and suggestions for improvements;
• Ensuring all plant associates adhere to GMPs and Safety at all times;
• Actively leading the plant QCMS program.
Education: 4-year degree required; Management, Engineering or related disciplines preferred.
Required Skills:
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience;
• Process knowledge and food industry experience;
• Experience developing and supervising employees;
• Strong leadership, safety and GMP’s knowledge and experience;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
