Description:
The Residential Closing Administrator is primarily responsible for the accurate and complete preparation of loan closing documentation and timely funding for the full array of residential loan products, including construction, complex borrower entities, multiple properties, and modifications for each state. The Administrator will manage both the closing and funding functions in an environment of constantly changing deadlines without losing required high level of accuracy and production. In addition, the Administrator will be expected to assist supervisors in file review as well as act as a mentoring resource for junior staff. The Closing Administrator must understand not only how the loan is originated, but also the downstream impact of the transaction, including post-closing, boarding, imaging, servicing, and secondary marketing activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review loan closing and funding documentation and provide feedback, coaching, and training on files prepared by junior staff.
• Accurately and timely prepare loan closing and funding documentation for the full array of Single Family Residence 1-4 loan products.
• Monitor and update daily production data reports to ensure work is processed in a timely manner. Raise awareness of any concerns noted.
• Assist supervisor with managing the closing and funding pipelines to ensure proper allocation of workloads and timely completion of duties.
• Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities or as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
• High School diploma and 5+ years of closing/funding experience required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of loan servicing and related systems.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word / MS Outlook / MS Visio / MS PowerPoint/ MS Excel.
• Experience with PowerLender, TotalPlus ML and/or IL applications a plus.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated skills in organization and strong attention to detail.
