Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Responsible for executing functional, regression and system integration testing for Custom Applications, Oracle Applications, Web-Sites, and Web in support of meeting company standards and end-user requirements. Supporting one of its applications development team
• Develop test plans that meet the criteria defined by the pod manager and project manager
• Construct test cases and scripts according to the test plan
• Execute functional test cases and test scripts of the application software, database upgrades, installation modifications, and infrastructure modifications and upgrades
• Report and document software defects identified in the test process
• Communicate defects identified in the testing process, as well as problem resolution, to the development team
• Lead the definition of test requirements, test design, and test plan reviews with particular focus on matching software features to user requirements.
• Eliminate and document defects as early in the systems development life cycle as possible. SDLC
• Act as Test Coordinator, gathering test data requirements, set-up and gathering results for metrics management.
• Create statistical Reports of all releases including Quality Metrics Report in accordance with department policies.
• Mentor junior colleagues in the pod.
Requirements : BS Degree with 8 or more years Quality Assurance experience
Minimum of 8 years of software development life-cycle experience with a general understanding of programming languages, such as Unix, JAVA, and Oracle preferred
• 5 or more years of experience demonstrated comprehensive understanding of and experience with generally accepted QA methodologies and best practices
• Demonstrated experience with techniques of problem identification, documentation, resolution, and testing with automated systems, and web-based, relational database software.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate on a technical and non-technical level
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft application software (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.)
• Experience e with JavaScript, HTML, Unix scripting, SQL and XML to help troubleshoot problems and to assist in creating technical scripts.
• Experience in coding in Java, JSP and PL/SQL to augment QA's ability to perform/participate in code reviews
