SharePoint Administrator:
Pays $90-120k

MUST have either Master’s degree and 10 years’ experience OR
20 years’ experience.

No 2 for 1 experience for college, which makes it difficult!

Tour of Duty : Full-time 9AM to 5PM, rotating on-call.
Telework 1-2 days a week possible after initial 90 days on job.
Can the position be performed virtually (100% Remote Access) (Yes/No): No.
Required certifications or specialized skills/training required for the position: Windows Server 2012 2008; SharePoint 2013 2010 2007; & SQL 2012 2008

The Employee shall have functional knowledge of MOSS 2007, 2010 and 2013 (SharePoint) application and infrastructure components. The Employee shall assess, choose and describe product strategies between MOSS 2007, 2010, 2013 and WSS 3.0, and Microsoft Office Forms Server 2007/2010. The Employee shall conduct architectural design, Migration, web parts development, server installation, management and troubleshooting with focus on planning, deploying, and supporting SharePoint implementations.

The Employee shall:
A. Act as the SME (subject matter expert) for SharePoint 2007/2010/2013
B. Responsible for infrastructure and administration of multiple SharePoint farms and environments
C. Manage the deployment and testing of regular patches to multiple environments
D. Migrate SharePoint farms, sites from 2010 to 2013 & 2007 to 2013
E. Expert level skills in Power Shell scripts.
F. Monitor, analyze, develop and respond to problems. Evaluate system capacity; plans for the future system development and expansion and coordination of most critical internal systems with relevant external systems.
G. Plan, organize and coordinate all aspects of large and/or complex system administration projects.
H. Understand and implement disaster recovery solutions for SharePoint. Schedule, monitor, guide and participate in installing, configuring, analyzing, monitoring and maintaining systems software, hardware and related applications systems.
I. Perform as technical expert and architect for a major office within VA, providing leadership to SharePoint developers and administrators in multiple VA locations.
J. Work with site collection stakeholders and site content managers to create/build SharePoint solutions and migration support.
K. Be accountable for leading architecture and process strategies, ensuring that the enterprise SharePoint environment is scalable, sustains performance requirements, and complies with VA’s privacy and security policies.
L. Monitor and respond to escalated Service Desk tickets supporting SharePoint Technician and Intern(s) as required.
M. Develop course content and conduct training.
N. Implement and support form services , custom reporting, custom workflow, and searches.
O. Work closely with customers, architects and management to deliver solutions.
P. Lead architecture and design sessions with customers, stakeholders and content managers.
Q. Work with business and infrastructure partners to define SharePoint deployment strategies.
R. Work with projects teams to define business and technical requirements.
S. Provide work and budget plans.
T. Complete tasks to specification, within time and budget.
U. Develop and document solution designs.
V. Design and implement complex data models.
W. Develop SharePoint solutions using the appropriate tools.
X. Identify units of work and delegate to appropriate team members.
Y. Plan, execute, document, track, and resolve unit, system integration, and performance tests.
