The Auditor II conducts analyses, investigations, inspections, processing and settling administrative cases, compliance activities, engaging in property management and controls. The Auditor conducts on-site inspections of TABC licensed locations such as restaurants, bars and clubs throughout the Austin region. In these locations the Auditor makes sure locations are within compliance with statutes and rules of procedures and to establish tax and fee liabilities. An great candidate will possess great attention to detail, the ability to communicate areas of improvement to managers and business owners as well as a desire to have a blend of in-office and multiple site working environment as this position can spend as much as 75% of the time out of the office and around Austin.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
•Processes and settles administrative cases. Promotes public safety by conducting education initiatives and performing investigations relating to public safety issues.
•Conducts audits/analyses/investigations of applicants/licensees and permittees.
•Conducts inspections of premises.•Audits business records of potential applicants to establish bonding liability.
•Prepares reports of findings, outlines discrepancies and recommends corrective actions.
•Documents, processes and conducts investigations. Evaluates and summarizes investigative findings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Associates Degree in a business related field (marketing/finance/accounting/management).
•At least 9 hours of accounting, auditing, or finance, six of which must be in accounting.
AND
•Two year’s work experience in accounting, auditing or extensive financial investigations involving business records.

•Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field (marketing/ finance/ accounting/management) or completion date of the end of the current semester.
•At least 12 hours of accounting, auditing, or finance, six of which must be in accounting.
