We have an immediate need for a talented Database Administrator to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will manage the performance, integrity and security of the company’s database and be responsible for troubleshooting issues as they arise on the Database, Servers and Network.
Responsibilities:
• Continuously monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide quick responses to front-end users;
• Establishing back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility;
• Troubleshooting issues as they arise and continuously refining the database;
• Maintaining data standards and ensuring adherence with company and regulatory policies;
• Establishing needs of users and monitoring user access and security measures;
• Controlling and monitoring access permissions and privileges;
• Developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans;
• Ensuring data is stored and archived in the database appropriately;
• Managing security and disaster recovery measures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of all data;
• Maintain schemas; monitor and optimize database performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience administering MySQL and Unix (Either Solaris/SmartOS or Linux);
• Experience setting up and maintaining MySQL Database replication;
• Familiarity with Security/PCI Compliance;
• Java coding ability an asset.
