The Application Service Manager will be end-to-end responsible to deliver adequate application support services (incident mgt, problem mgt, service request, operational changes, enhancement requests) for a scope of applications for an important company located in US.
The main objective of this role is to ensure stable application operations and operational excellence for the business leading offshore technical teams.
Responsabilities:
• Strong programming skills in Teradata SQL, PL SQL, SAS SQL and hands on experience in querying SQL Server and DB2 databases.
• Experience in SQL tuning / Performance optimization on Teradata database in Massive parallel processing environments. Thorough understanding of the RDBMS, Data Modeling concepts in OLTP & OLAP environments and Teradata Architecture.
• Experience in creating Teradata Views, Macros, VBA Macros, SAS Macros, SAS/Base, SAS/SQL, SAS/Stat, SAS/Graph, SAS/Access
Qualifications & Experiences.
• 5+ years of experience in using Teradata SQL Assistant, BTEQ and Teradata ETL utilities like FastLoad, FastExport, MultiLoad and Tpump, TPT
• Knowledge on Support processes such as Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Request Management
• Must be analytical and possess strong troubleshooting skills.
• Must be able to mentor offshore teams (5+ team members)
• Experience with SLA, managing related performance and service improvement is a plus
• Demonstrated ITIL and LEAN process knowledge and understanding is a plus
