Orthodontic Patient Care / Treatment Coordinator (TC) at Tim Auger Orthodontics in Monterey, CA

We are looking for a VERY experienced orthodontic Treatment Coordinator that is out going, fun spirited with a great personality, and professional to fill a full time position in our practice. Our beautiful practice is located in a Monterey.

We believe in the latest technologies and pride ourselves in a highly organized office. Our systems of organization and patient care are developed by the entire staff. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual that is self-directed and able to communicate well with patients and co-workers. This individual must possess the want to help grow our business while having a positive personality.

The Treatment Coordinator’s primary job is to sweep patients off their feet, from the new patient phone call through the start of treatment. You will need to create a fun, exciting, nurturing environment will truly enjoy and remember. The Treatment Coordinator’s goal is to be the best part of the patient’s day!

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

• Friendly, fun, and outgoing friendly personality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and web browsers.
• Knowledge of Orthotrac software a bonus but not necessary.
• Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.
• 2+ year’s previous sales experience in orthodontic or dental office.
• 2+ year’s previous experience with dental or orthodontic treatment coordination.
• Self-motivated and ambitious sales attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties:

• Take the patient from the new patient exam with the doctor and walk them through the beginnings of orthodontic treatment. Explain treatment, answer questions, set up financial arrangements, assist with insurance, and schedule appointments.
• Follow up and track patients.
• Communicate with other doctors’ offices for updated patient information and x-rays.
• Complete weekly and monthly reports.
• Responsible for marketing of the full practice
• Answer phones
• Verify Insurance coverage
• Understand insurance in detail and be able to answer most insurance questions
• Understand the basics of setting up contract and payment plans. Be able to write a contract and discuss payment plans with the patient.
• Exceed patient expectations in customer service and achieve production and collection goals.
• Explain treatment plans to patients.
• Be responsive to patients and patient complaints.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Clinical Hours:

Monday Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
(Closed for lunch 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.)
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
