Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Project Delivery Services, the Project Manager will provide project management support for the Infrastructure Services Team and act as the single point of accountability to plan, direct, and manage technology proof-of-concepts and deployments for large scale, complex projects. The candidate will ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished with quality results, within established time frames and budget, and meet customer and/or business needs. The qualified candidate will have a strong technology background as well as excellent planning, communication and execution skills required to effectively collaborate and lead architects, infrastructure engineers, operations staff, and other technology and business professionals to deliver defined objectives. Project management support may include, but is not limited to: active directory migrations, corporate office moves/build outs, email & messaging, data center operations, information security, unified communications, and network/data services.
Project Attributes & Complexity Programs or Projects will have one or a number of the following attributes:
Moderate to high level of complexity
Impact that is significant to Line of Business and/or Enterprise-wide
Involves direction for multiple, integrated projects
Budgets typically from $250,000 to $4 Million
Proof of Concepts where the results will influence the direction of Infrastructure Strategy and Services
Enterprise deployments across multiple Lines of Business and customer types Project length is typically 3-12 months, however programs may span multiple years
Involvement with/between 5-10 partners/stakeholder groups
Team Leadership to include and are not limited to:
Responsible for assembling a project team
Define team member roles and expectations
Assign and monitor work of team members and providing timely guidance and feedback (matrix reporting)
Communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders regarding key project objectives
Escalate issues to others with more experience, authority, and/or span of control when necessary
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Negotiate with stakeholders and sponsors to set expectations and build consensus around project objectives, scope, funding, deliverables and dates
