working closely with Portfolio, Program, and Project Managers, is responsible for the development and maintenance of enterprise portfolio and project budgets and plans. May be assigned to a portfolio or large program or single large project with multiple sub-projects; otherwise the project controller will be assigned to a specific team within the IT PMO structure. Works closely with IT Project Managers, Portfolio Managers, Resource Managers, and IT Finance Managers to provide the team a clear view of resource capacity and demand.
REQUIRED:
BS Degree, Master’s degree preferred
PMP certification
* Extensive experience (7+ years) in the management of projects.
Minimum 7 years of experience in financial analysis, managing projects and/or programs or managing equivalent financials
Extensive experience in using project health metrics for analyzing and reporting on projects.
Relevant certification in finance, project management and/or degree in a relevant technology
Extensive experience in using project management metrics for analysis and reporting on project financials.
Good analytical skills and expertise with relevant software tools and problem solving skills
Ability to work in a matrixed cross-functional team environment; able to work with all levels of management and technical staff.
* Sound understanding of project management in relation to timeframes dependencies and critical paths.
* Must know and be comfortable with using Clarity / Work Bench as the scheduling software.
* Organization, communication, and facilitation skills; credibility with executive management.
* Sound understanding of project management, scheduling and financial concepts.
* Sound understanding of project portfolio management and reporting.
* Ability to instill trust, motivate, and work with other people.
* Ability to create and deliver executive-level summary reports and presentations.
* Ability to build solid relationships across multiple departments.
