The primary responsibilities will be to ensure a high degree of availability of data center operations and systems. They will work closely with System Architects and Build Team members to ensure best practices are being utilized to maximize data center uptime; data center and system redundancy; backup and recovery and simplified operations.
In addition the Sr. Data Center Administrator will have superior technical skills in the area of data center, systems and operations. They will stay abreast of best practices for physical data center components, as well as virtual data center components.
Responsibilities
• Perform systems analysis, and reporting of multiple systems within the datacenter
• Provide mentoring to junior team members technical and non-technical
• Develop and test Disaster Recovery Systems
• Create proper documentation of current and new solutions to ensure repeatable Run operations
• Apply system analysis techniques when troubleshooting system outages and or service degradation situations.
• Keep current on industry standards and best practices for infrastructure technologies, analyze potential impact on company systems and inform management of actions needed or other recommendations.
• Assess & analyze impact of new systems and major changes on existing hardware and software architectures
• Work with external vendors and internal business units to evaluate and select hardware and software products that ensure data quality, consistency, integrity, security and availability of data center systems
Requirements
• Full knowledge of Windows Server platform 2008 R2 & higher along
• Working knowledge of Windows Exchange Server
• Full knowledge of VMware vSphere
• Full knowledge of Citrix XenDesktop
• Working knowledge of Virus and Malware protection products
• Full knowledge of SAN Storage Systems NetApp, EMC and IBM
• Full knowledge in the Windows Active Directory and supporting technologies DNS, DHCP, DFS
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP and its relation to datacenter redundancy and efficiency
• Full knowledge of monitoring systems SCOM and Nagios, CA system is a plus
• Working knowledge of Software Distribution systems
• Knowledge of physical datacenter components UPS, Generators, Cooling, Environmental Monitoring
• Knowledge of physical servers from Cisco UCS, IBM System X, Dell PowerEdge
• MCSE Certification, VMware Certified, Storage Certifications or related experience
• Familiar with ITIL processes and framework. ITIL v3 certification is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred, or related experience
