Administrative Assistant at Center of Hope Ministry, Inc. in Riverdale, GA

The ideal candidate will have administrative experience handling a variety of support-related tasks with the ability to work independently with little or no supervision. This is a part time hourly position averaging 15-20 hours per week. No benefits are offered with this position. Core work hours are: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10AM- 3PM. This position may also receive general direction from the Church Administrator and the Senior Pastor. The Chief Operating Officer sets the overall objectives of the work assignments, priorities and deadlines. Because of the nature of the role, the Administrative Assistant must demonstrate a high level of trust and the ability to protect the reputation and integrity of others through strict confidentiality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supports day-to-day office workflow procedures for Church activities.
• Maintains the church master calendar and Pastor’s calendar.
• Serve as receptionist, screening and routing incoming calls.
• Monitor and maintain office supplies.
• Receives incoming mail/email; distributes or responds as necessary or stipulated.
• Composes and types correspondence involving routine, non-routine, and complex matters.
• Plan and organize official church meetings; prepare meeting minutes; distribute minutes to target church personnel.
• Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence via mail, email, phone, and text.
• Plan and book travel arrangements for staff and speakers.
• Maintain files.
• Maintain database and enter member and ministry information.
• Transcribe audio files as needed.
• Support special projects as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of administrative operations and efficiency in workflow development.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of office management and clerical processes.
- Demonstrates clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate well with others and work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in the latest version of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
- Ability to work with discretion and handle confidential information
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to manage, prioritize and execute multiple projects
- Strong organizational skills and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of initiative
- Experience scheduling travel arrangements
- Additional software skills a plus
