• Compounding of non-sterile pharmaceutical products
• Compound and dispense medications.
• Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability
• Provide information and advice regarding interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage
• Assess the identity, strength, or purity of medications. Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions
• Providing medications and pharmacy services to assisted living and nursing home facilities.
• Developing a system of inventory record keeping and control to detect any shortages or discrepancies in controlled substances
• Point of contact for regulatory, legal, third party insurance companies and audit situations. Monitors pharmacy to ensure complete legal requirements.
• Supervise, coordinate, and participate in activities relative to the practice area including management of human and financial resources, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, staff development, and policy development.
Will supervise 2 employees.
60 months progressive experience in the job offered or in the related occupation of Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician or Production Officer.
Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Pharmacy.
Other Requirements: Valid state of Florida license to practice as a Pharmacist.
