DBA - US Citizenship required due to ITAR Regulations.
The Database Administrator provides operational support for the database infrastructure as well as database support for the various app teams. Additionally, the position will liaise between the business units and IT to elicit and document requirements and then drive delivery of reporting solutions. This resource ensures access to reliable, consistent, and available data, as well as timely and accurate reporting that empowers our leadership to make data-driven management decisions.
This fast-paced environment requires the ability to communicate effectively, to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks and escalate roadblocks to management in a timely manner. Good communication skills are required.
Responsibilities:
•Provide operational support of databases to Operations, Client Support, Project Management, Application support, and IT installation/configuration, backup/restore, maintenance plans, patching, performance tuning and managing access.
•Plan, implement, and administer database components including the development of database technologies through collaboration with Application Support, Operations, Client Support, Engineering and other organizations within the company as needed.
•Design, build and deploy reports based on business needs for various groups within the organization
•Research and resolve database application problems in complex and varied multi-tenant production and customer facing environments
•Participate in a 24/7 on call rotation schedule
•Maintain a general understanding of our industry and trends and a thorough understanding of all company products and services and technologies
Job Requirements:
•Bachelor's Degree in CS, MIS or related technical field or 3 years database administration experience
•3+ years of experience in SQL Server (2008/2012) database administration
•Demonstrated experience with writing complex SQL queries
•Good troubleshooting skills and an understanding of supporting infrastructure
•Experience with SQL tuning for slow/expensive queries
•Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
•Knowledge of query and reporting tools (Management Studio/SSRS)
•Must be self-starter and able to multitask with minimal supervision
•Demonstrated ability to perform in situations where the initial objectives are unclear
•Solid verbal and written communication skills
•US Citizen only due to requirements governed by ITAR regulations

•Proficient with writing and deploying reports via SSRS
•Experience with the following a plus: Managing large-scale databases in enterprise-level environment

PostgreSQL and MYSQL applications
