"POSITION TITLE: Cardiac Cath Lab, RN
DEPARTMENT: Cardiac Cath Lab
REPORTS TO: Director, Cardiac Cath Lab
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
This individual must possess above average nursing skills with a focus on cardiology. In addition must be proficient in IV access and EKG interpretation. This individual must be able to perform under high stress level and make decisions quickly and appropriately in an emergency. Must have a team approach with physicians and co-workers.
This incumbent must possess effective human relation skills for interfacing with physicians, patients and all levels of the hospital staff and demonstrate behaviors consistent with those identified as the KRMC core behaviors. This individual must have the ability to act in a professional capacity and serve as a professional role model.
Qualifications:
A graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing
Must hold a current, valid Arizona license or compact state license
Minimum of 1 to 2 years functioning within CCU or similar cardiology setting.
Cath lab experience a plus but not required.
Knowledge of heart disease, interventional procedures and insertion of pacemakers.
ACLS certification preferred, or required 1 year from date of hire.
Physical Requirements:
Standing and walking for periods of 2 hours or longer
Possible exposure to blood products and radiation
Excellent hand-eye coordination
Lifting equipment up to 50lbs, and pushing equipment up to 150lbs
Concentration, visual and auditory acuity for watching monitors and following instructions during procedures.
Sitting, standing, and walking to assist as needed
