Duties:
-Work with sales and operations to develop delivery routes and schedules.
-Communicate with customer service and sales team to apprise them of deliveries and understand customer needs.
-Understand transportation trends, pricing and capacity issues.
-Mange 3PL and carrier relationships.
-Manage quarterly business reviews with strategic vendors.
-Inspect, operate under and follow of all FDA, GDP, DOT and HAZMAT laws/compliance.
-Minimize transportation expenses in connection with the company's global transportation program.
-Create and maintain quarterly reporting package to evaluate on time service, costs, transit time, and utilization, detention costs for all modes of domestic and international transportation.
-Audit small parcel, LTL and TL freight bills noting GL and Cost Center to be used.
-Administer freight rate quotes upon request for sales support and purchasing.
-Support other logistics related projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
-3+ years experience in distribution/logistics environment.
-Experience working for an international air freight carrier a plus.
-Working knowledge of compliance to all FDA, GDP, DOT & HAZMAT laws and regulations from a logistical perspective.
-Expertise in Excel with macro programming.
-Word and PowerPoint.
-Strong analytical skills and superior problem solving abilities.
