Description:
The Residential Audit Specialist is primarily responsible for performing ongoing control monitoring of the Bank’s residential loans, including audits of loan processing activity to verify completeness and accuracy. The Specialist will primarily focus on the audit of all new and modified residential loan boarding’s, as well as all maintenance and financial transactions. The Residential Audit Specialist will review daily index rate changes and various exception reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform daily new loan and modification boarding audits for residential loans.
• Review residential loan transactions for completeness and accuracy.
• Monitor various ongoing Lending Services controls including daily index rate changes and exception reports.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements, generate ideas designed to improve service and/or efficiency while supporting existing standards with a focus towards providing excellent service to our clients.
• Direct the identification and resolution of analytical issues to assist in driving continuous improvement of day to day operations and customer service process.
• Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities or as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
• High School diploma and 2-3 years of experience in residential loan processing or audit experience required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• AFS Level III software experience required.
• CLO and OnBase Imaging software experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated skills in organization and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to handle high volume without sacrificing accuracy.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel / MS Word / MS Access.
