This position performs typical Manufacturing Process / Methods Engineer operation systems oriented activities that include creating and reviewing Fixed Process Approvals, supporting non-conformance reduction activities, and interacting with our customer’s staff, operational tools, and systems.
Review manufacturing operations and processes for a breadth of aerospace components which use a variety of materials and manufacturing techniques.
Document and manage the fixed manufacturing process for critical and sensitive parts. Create the quality Control Plan for these parts, as needed.
Additional activities will include design/engineering/technical work as appropriate to fulfill customer requirements.
Qualifications
BS or MS degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering preferred.
5-10 years of relatable design or manufacturing experience required.
Non-degreed candidates possessing 10+ years of directly relatable experience will be equally considered.
Knowledge of high-end manufacturing equipment and processes (castings, metal cutting, turning, coatings, milling, EDM, welding, sheet metal/composite forming and joining, metal tube bending).
Knowledge of manufacturing support processes and systems (ie. inspection, gauging, data collection, records & reporting, first article approvals).
Proficiency of the MS Office Suite with good writing skills.
Ability to learn new software is required.
Ability to read blueprints/mechanical drawings required.
Experience with customer/supplier interaction required.
Experience working with Operations/Process documents, procedures, and records preferred.
Desired knowledge of Quality Management Systems metrics and standards.
Able to work in a fast-paced, learning environment to meet quick deadlines.
