Job Description:

In this role you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing sensing, control, and data reporting systems for high speed manufacturing equipment and integrated systems throughout the company.

You will be working in the plant maintenance department to document symptoms and solutions for identified equipment problems in order to support the improvement of troubleshooting knowledgebase on production equipment. You may perform and participate in the execution of improvement projects geared at improving the performance and quality of production equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshooting of production systems to diagnose machine problems
- Perform or coordinate repairs to equipment per manufacturer and company requirement
- Construction and build of electrical panels and machine guarding as required
- Specification and installation of new components and equipment
- Adherence to company electrical, software, programming, and data standards
- Modification and debugging of production control and data acquisition software and systems
- Use of variety of hand and power tools and tests instruments, pipe benders, saws, drills, soldering irons, oscilloscopes, ammeters, and digital multi-meters;
- Installation, adjustment, and calibration of equipment and sensors to manufacturer, company and engineer’s drawings and specifications
- Use of proper lock-out-tag-out procedures
- Use of safe work practices with high quality standards and efficiency
- Implementation of Continuous Improvement, Cost Reduction, and safety projects

Candidate Requirements:

- Associates degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology or equivalent
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming
- Experience in the troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of electrical control systems
- A strong technical background and problem solving skills
- Experience with control system software such as RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking team environment
- Must be willing to complete company paid course assignments as needed based off assessment testing evaluation.

Desired Experience:

- Significant experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience with electrical installations in Class II Div 1 hazardous environments
