JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing Engineering Support in the Plant Operations to ensure that the plant machinery operates in the most efficient manner.
Essential Functions of Position:
Responsible for establishing, monitoring, and improving production processes, troubleshooting machine problems, including auxiliary equipment.
Responsible for developing, training and mentoring Engineering staff members and technicians.
Responsible for coordinating PM’s repairs and other machine adjustments and repairs.
Responsible for developing process benchmark standards and standard operation procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Ability to interact well with other Departments and ability to travel to the customers and suppliers locations and other facilities.
Must possess good interpersonal skills, communication and problem solving skills.
Excellent attendance required.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to stand, bend and walk for periods of 8 hours.
Must be available for weekend work when necessary.
Minimum of 3-5 years previous experience in an Engineering Management position required.
College degree in a technical field required.
Previous process engineering experience required, preferably in an automotive environment.
Strong working knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic processes.
Ability to use various automotive design systems.
Ability to understand CAD drawing systems.
Familiarity with ISO/TS16949 and ISO 14001 (Aspects and Systems) requirements.
