150183 Connected Vehicle (V2X) System Development Engineer
Our customer located in Plymouth, MI is seeking a Connected Vehicle (V2X) System Development Engineer on a direct hire basis.
The salary range for this position is dependent upon level of experience.
Relocation is available for the right candidate. Sponsorship is NOT AVAILABLE.
Responsibilities
• Monthly investigation into new technologies, strategies, and methods in the V2X field. Produce regular reports to update the team and leadership on emerging technologies and trends.
• Design and develop V2X concepts for quality assurance, interoperability, and standards compliance. Fully use available internal and external resources, such as University of Michigan’s Mobility Transformation Center (MTC)
• Field test concepts at MTC in coordination with the company’s teams in the US and China. Ensure know-how sharing among all development partners.
• Find, incorporate and manage external suppliers within our V2X development process.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanic Engineering / Electronics Engineering.
• 3 years or more experience in a relevant field.
• Acquainted with the software and hardware structure of V2X and ADAS, performance measurement metrics.
• Knowledgeable on the current development status of V2X industry.
• Acquainted with V2X policies and laws in major global automotive markets.
• Working knowledge of WAVE Protocol Stack specifications: IEEE 1609, IEEE 802.11p, SAE J2735, etc.
• Capable of handling multiples projects, initiatives simultaneously and executing to completion.
• Analytical; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team oriented.
• Bilingual (English & Chinese) is a plus.
