Byrnes & Rupkey, Inc. has an opportunity for a District Sales Manager in the Chicago, IL area. This road warrior sales position is a direct hire for a successful and innovative capital equipment company.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the development and execution of the sales plan;
• Recommending new product development requirements, ideas or potential enhancements to existing product lines;
• Compiling lists of prospective customers;
• Traveling throughout the assigned area of the south Chicago district and parts of Iowa and Indiana;
• Providing price quotes and lead times to customers;
• Preparing annual sales budget and forecast for assigned territory;
• Supporting Market Managers with market insights or surveys as requested.
Education: 4-year degree preferred.
Required Skills:
• One or more years of Capital Equipment sales experience;
• Desire and ability to travel 70-80% of the time;
• Strong analytical, technical, customer service, and teamwork skills;
• Strong math skills, ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry;
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications, Windows 2000 or higher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
