Byrnes & Rupkey, Inc. has an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineering Supervisor in the Chicago, IL area. This 3rd shift position is a direct hire for a successful and innovative company.
Responsibilities:
• Monitoring plant equipment and facilitating the refinement of Maintenance activities to ensure best possible operation and reduction of planned and unplanned downtime;
• Ensuring that repairs, job planning, material and services planning is accurate and effective;
• Ensuring that equipment history, damage code and root cause analysis are completed correctly;
• Developing and leading a network of Factory SMEs, training them in the implementation and leadership of the Reliability program in their factories;
• Evaluating the performance of team leaders and providing feedback to ensure development;
• Conducting regular inspections of the plant to find potential problems;
• Assuring compliance with government regulatory agencies.
Education: High School/GED required; Post high school training is a plus.
Required Skills:
• 3+ years of experience in a Union manufacturing environment;
• Knowledge of utilities, facilities or production equipment maintenance;
• CMRP or direct experience with Maintenance Supervision;
• Must have TPM knowledge (or similar), SAP, FMEA, PM Optimization;
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
