The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the following:
Ensure production equipment is in safe working order
Set up and maintain production equipment to ensure quality and production standards are met
Maintain and improve upon existing manufacturing practices
Perform minor maintenance on equipment
Assist in development of new equipment
Assist in performing preventive maintenance on all equipment
Support and enforce all company and departmental policies
Monitor machine operations and observe lights and gauges in order to detect malfunctions; press control buttons to activate machinery and equipment
Assist in process improvements and implementation
Fill out daily logs and file work orders
Assist in training of personnel
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The successful Maintenance Technician will meet the following requirements:
High school diploma; Technical degree preferred
1 to 5 years mechanical and industrial maintenance experience
Ability to operate forklifts and hoists
Ability to work a 12 hour schedule
Must be available to work rotating 12 hour shifts and weekends when necessary.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
Excellent Attendance to Work
Experience with machines and tools such as wrenches, drills, grinders, screw drivers, extruders, and wrappers
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to multitask and troubleshooting skills
PLC knowledge is preferred
Familiarity with ISO/TS16949 and ISO 14001 (Aspects and Systems) requirements.
Plastic injection molding and/or extrusion experience preferred
