Mechanical Inspector
Location: Campbell, CA
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr-$20.00/hr
Hours: Mon-Fri (8:00AM-5:00PM)
Job Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of complex and difficult mechanical inspection of parts, and assemblies in the production process. Follows protocol to conduct routine critical and non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical and functional inspections. The client is ISO 9001 Certified and all inspections are done per their Quality Systems Processes
Job Duties:
• Examines company’s records to secure such information as size and weight of product and results of quality tests
• Inspects product to determine compliance with order specification per the company’s ISO Quality System and other legally required specifications
• Responsible for In-process, receiving and final inspection. Maintain calibration records for Machine Shop and Assembly machines, tools and scales
• Processes and electronically records information on any non-conformance issues per the Quality System
• Interface with Machine Shop, Assembly, Purchasing and Receiving to check for correctness of incoming parts
Professional Skills Required :
• Must be skilled in the use of mechanical inspection tools
• Familiarity with micrometers, vernier calipers, height gages, pin and block gages, hardness testers, tension test machines, optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (ex-MicroVu).
• Knowledge and use of Calipers, Surf Test, Tensile Tester, and Hand Tool Calibration is preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
• Excellent Communication and Writing Skills
• The ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to follow instruction, be conscientious, good math and English skills
