Business Process Analyst
Primary Purpose:
Under minimum supervision, lead the development and reengineering of processes within Information Technology (IT) Services and client utilizing Business Process Modeling (BPM) and quality methodologies. Includes process governance responsibilities for a $500M IT organization. Provide technical expertise throughout the process development lifecycle to ensure implementation of best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Facilitate work teams within IT Services and client to develop new processes and reengineer previously deployed processes. Identify the root cause of process issues and develop plans for optimization.
2. Champion the cause of process improvement by setting examples, focusing on continuous improvement and educating others on process management methods.
3. Develop expertise in established process methodology disciplines (e.g. Six Sigma DMAIC/DFSS/Lean) and associated tools (e.g. Process Flows, Pareto Charts) in promoting effective process improvement practices within the organization.
4. Gather data for input into established measurement plans and generate management reporting.
5. Assist in the development of training for assigned process area. Assist with facilitation in area of expertise, as needed. Establish effective methods in communication of change to ensure data is distributed to appropriate audiences and information posted to the intranet site in a timely manner.
6. Create project plans and facilitate process teams to complete process improvement initiatives.
7. Utilize process improvement methodology (e.g. Six Sigma Lean, DMAIC, DFSS, TQM) to improve processes within the organization.
8. Take ambiguous, complex business problems, and, using research, best practices, and business assessment capabilities, define the problem, drive innovative ideas for business solutions and ensure solutions meet the needs of the business.
Required Skills and Competencies:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training
2. Three years of experience as a business process analyst, project manager or consultant
3. Lean or Greenbelt Six Sigma Certification preferred
4. Proficient in process improvement methods (e.g. process mapping, measurement system analysis, time study, standard work)
5. Experience in analyzing or modeling business processes and data using a variety of tools and techniques (Visio, Minitab and advanced Excel skills)
6. Proven facilitation skills with previous experience designing workshops, facilitating group sessions and working with teams to gain crucial input from key contributors
7. Excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
8. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization, including Executive Management
9. Ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization, including Executive Management, with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
10. Strong business acumen
11. ITIL Continuous Service Improvement certification preferred
12. Strong project management skills
13. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
14. Excellent interpersonal, networking and leadership skills
15. Ability to understand and adapt to new technologies
16. Familiarity with IT functions
