Capitol Recruiters Inc. is recruiting for a Law Firm Tax Manager for a prominent law firm client in Washington, DC. This is a newly created position and is responsible for working with outside accountants to prepare all income tax returns including the U.S. Federal, partner state composite, personal property, and all city business tax filings (including the NY UBT). Other responsibilities include assessing Nexus issues and generating new filing jurisdictions and implications while working with Partners to assess Nexus for existing jurisdictions. This position will function as the point of contact and support for local and national tax issues and provide research for tax-related issues raised by other accounting managers. Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 to 7 years of related tax work experience
• CPA is required
• 2+ years in Public Accounting with state tax experience is preferred
• Canada Agency experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Attention to detail required
Salary is commensurate with experience to 100k Exempt.
