Capitol Recruiters Inc. is recruiting for a Senior 337 Litigation Paralegal for a prominent law firm client in Washington, DC.
Idea candidate is experienced in ITC 337 work and will be the lead paralegal on large, complex cases and assist with providing instruction to junior paralegals.
Responsibilities for this position include: litigation case management, file management, case calendaring, discovery, and trial activities; establishing new procedures to simplify organization and retrieval of documents for attorneys; coordinating tasks of more junior paralegals in all phases of litigation from discovery through trial/arbitration; drafting and analyzing routine legal documents as requested by attorneys; conduct legal research.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 + years’ work experience as a litigation paralegal in a large law firm
• prior experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial
• prior experience with Section 337 investigations conducted by the U.S. International Trade Commission
• experience preparing for and attending trials/arbitrations/hearings
• experience coordinating trial/arbitration logistics, including negotiating for work space, setting-up remote office space, and coordinating with vendors
• strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• experience with court and administrative agency filings, including electronic or e-filings
• familiarity with USITC Electronic Document Information System (EDIS) preferred
• experience using e-discovery databases
• experience using litigation support software for managing files and transcripts preferred
• proficiency with cite-checking and Bluebook rules
• availability for overtime work and travel as needed
