Preferred Skills and Experience:
•Masters degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience
•3 to 5 years of applicable experience
•Experience in production and test systems
Hands on test and production facility, factory, or laboratory experience
Mechanical aptitude and experience
•Demonstrated experience where quick-thinking and problem solving plays a critical role
•Knowledge and/or experience in aerospace structural or mechanical or propulsion systems assembly and testing
•Ability to utilize test instrumentation and control components: pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, flow meters, load cells, relays, solenoid valves
•Ability to solve problems calling for technical analysis
•Ability to read and understand technical manuals and reports
•Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics
•Knowledge of hazardous systems- cryogenic, flammable, hypergolic, pyrophoric
•Knowledge of high pressure system design and handling
•Experience using test instrumentation and control components
•Intermediate skill level using Windows Operating Systems
•Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, OneNote)
•Novice skill level using CAD modeling (Unigraphics NX preferred) and Teamcenter
•Novice to intermediate skill level using NI Labview
•Novice to intermediate skill level using Matlab

Responsibilities:

•Conduct tests to evaluate hardware performance
•Work with fluid, structural, thermal, and electrical systems- system design, pitfalls, potential hazards, expected operation, etc.
•Develop test procedures based on test requirements
•Operate test console and direct a team of technicians to execute test processes
•Develop, continually review, maintain, and execute test plans
•Work with data acquisition systems and control systems to continually improve in-test data recording
•Analyze and review data to ensure that hardware is operating as expected utilizing numerical data analysis tools to interpret test results
•Create software tools to further enhance post-test data analysis
•Provide reports and document test results
•Support integration of components into test assemblies
•Develop, maintain, and execute integration and testing process, and collaborate with design engineers to improve hardware
•Work to resolve anomalies found during the integration and testing process, and collaborate with design engineers to improve hardware
•Act as a conduit for completing the resource management process, including: planning, parts, coordination, skilled labor coordination, process verification, etc.
•Develop improvements in production and test methods, standards, tooling, equipment layout, procedures, and product designs. Identify continuous improvement opportunities for performance, reliability, and cost.
•Ensure all operations are performed on time, safely, and in a professional manner
•Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
Basic Qualifications:
•B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or manufacturing engineering

Additional Requirements:
•General physical fitness is required for some work areas, flight hardware is typically built in tight quarters and physical dexterity is required
•Physical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying weight such as materials or equipment
•Occasionally exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments- heat, cold, rain
•Work performed in an environment required exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
•Typically 50 hour work weeks, schedule varies depending on site operational needs, flexibility required
•Ability to work rotating shifts
•Overtime is frequently required for particular tasks or test series

• This position is for a Sr. Project Manager, Project Support Team, Flight Operations and Crew Technologies. The Project Support Team has the responsibility to support Flight Operations and Crew Technologies and Operations Technology in the implementation of strategic technology initiatives.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for project management consulting/mentoring, professional development, and project audits. The position includes activities such as; ongoing process refinement, ongoing process documentation, project management consulting, training, manage project tracking and status reporting and provide as needed project support to various project teams.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will join a team responsible for developing the next generation LookAhead and maintaining the existing suite of LookAhead applications. LookAhead is used by staff at the airport, ramp, and command center to manage flights using sophisticated algorithms and modeling techniques.

Candidate will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle using best practices in object-oriented techniques and Agile Scrum. Candidate will evaluate requirements to propose solutions with careful consideration to cost, schedule, impact, and compatibility with other systems. Formulates and executes an implementation plan for delivery of requested functionality. Monitors application and database run-time performance, and provides application support after implementation. May provide training on how to use new or enhanced application. Provides technical assistance and partners with end users to solve operating problems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop software in an iterative fashion to form a larger application with an emphasis on test driven development practices to ensure sufficient quality
• Provide and/or participate in the creation of detailed software specifications for user interfaces, application enhancements, and backend processes with customers, Business System Analysts, and other project team members.
• Create and update software artifacts for applications under development using UML
• Perform impact analyses for new requirements
• Maintain existing software to correct defects and/or adapt to new requirements
• Port existing software to new hardware infrastructure to improve performance
• Provide technical guidance to developer staff, as well as interface with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Business Unit Clients
• Collaborates with Architecture and Infrastructure team to ensure compliance with existing standard and future technology strategy
• Establish effective working relationships with management and developers in various areas of IT
• Prepare activity and progress reports regarding activities
• Provide 24/7 on-call support

Qualifications:
• Applicants must possess a degree in Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering; MS in Computer Science/Engineering is preferred
• Requires 7+ years of application development experience, including 4+ years of Java SE experience and 3+ years of Java EE experience
• Requires strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and UML
• Experience with in-memory computing and caching solutions (e.g., GigaSpaces XAP) is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, SQL, Oracle 11g RBMS, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM WebSphere MQ, JSP, Struts, HTML, XML, JavaScript, and UNIX/RHEL;
• Requires knowledge, understanding, and experience with Agile Scrum
• Requires ability to work effectively with Developers, Architects, Project Managers, Business Unit customers
• Must be able to work well within a team environment as well as independently
• Must be able to read, write, communicate fluently in the English language
• Familiarity with software configuration management/build process is a plus
• Familiarity and/or working experience with Adobe Flex is a plus
• Knowledge of .NET platform is a plus
• Airline industry knowledge/experience is a plus
